The NOVA University Lisbon once again stands out among the world’s best higher education institutions, ranking 337th among the approximately 1,500 universities evaluated in the QS World University Rankings 2027.
Released this Thursday, the 18th, the results place NOVA in the Top 3 universities in Portugal, with notable performance in the areas of Sustainability and Internationalisation, where it ranks first nationally.
Produced by the consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds, this ranking is one of the most widely recognised global comparative assessments of higher education institutions.
In total, between 3,000 and 4,000 universities out of the approximately 30,000 worldwide are analysed, with only those meeting specific criteria selected for inclusion in the ranking, based on a set of indicators that assess different dimensions of institutional performance, such as academic prestige, employability, the impact of scientific research, internationalisation and sustainability.
