SDG 10 - Reduced inequalities

ODS 10 - Reduzir as desigualdades

Nova University Lisbon contributes to tackle the SDG 10 by empowering and promoting the social, economic and political inclusion of all. Among other targets, NOVA has been particularly active in addressing the inclusion of people with disabilities and immigrant minorities, working together with local communities and civil society organizations. Reducing inequalities among NOVA Community, particularly among students and staff, is also a distinguishing factor of its intervention.

NOVA contributes significantly to the research into the area of SDG10. Learn more about the following research projects:

Identify the schools with the highest percentage of students of immigrant origin and their nationalities and explain the difference of results between students of immigrant origin and native students. Identify the factors that contribute to differences between schools in this phenomenon that can be considered as potential targets for intervention and produce recommendations for schools and educational policies.

This project experimentally evaluates the impact of an active immigrant integration program using a randomized controlled trial implemented among immigrants residing in the Greater Lisbon area and their relatives in Cape Verde.
