SDG 10 - Reduced inequalities

INITIATIVES

NOVA University Lisbon contributes to tackle the SDG10 with initiatives including, but not limited to:

• The creation of the Inclusive Community Forum at Nova SBE, an initiative addressing the lives of people with disabilities that seeks to promote a more inclusive community.

• NOVA has a non-discriminatory admissions policy and an inclusive recruitment process.
• Nova SBE joined forces with partner to launch the Social Equity Initiative, a partnership that aims to promote the social sector in Portugal in the long run, sketching a portrait of the sector and developing research and empowerment programs to support Portuguese social organizations.

Publications and Projects

NOVA contributes significantly to the research into the area of SDG10. Publications and projects in this area will soon be in our NOVA Research Portal.

As examples, get to know the project Inclusion or Discrimination? From the analysis of the school results to the strategies for the success of the students with immigrant origin, a joint effort between NOVA FCSH, Nova SBE and other partners, and the project Platform to combat loneliness in the Third Age and Promote Active Aging and Intergenerational Relations at ENSP-NOVA.
