INITIATIVES

NOVA University Lisbon contributes to tackle the SDG9 by challenging and enabling the NOVA Community to think about innovation and start-ups that may have a positive and long-term impact on society.

• NOVA has a designated Pro-Rector that coordinates the area of Entrepreneurship and collaborates in the coordination of the areas of Social and Economic Value Creation and Research.

• Check the list of NOVA’s successful Start-ups e Spin-offs.

• Nova SBE joined forces with partner to launch the Social Equity Initiative, a partnership that aims to promote the social sector in Portugal in the long run, sketching a portrait of the sector and developing research and empowerment programs to support Portuguese social organizations.

Publications and Projects

NOVA contributes significantly to the research into the area of SDG9. Publications and projects in this area will soon be in our NOVA Research Portal.

As an example, get to know the ERC Grant project DIGISMART - Multifunctional Digital Materials Platform for Smart Integrated Applications at FCT NOVA and the B-LigZymes, an international, interdisciplinary and intersectorial H2020 RISE at ITQB NOVA.
