Sensing Campolide

17 de Agosto, 2022

Conducted by the research and innovation laboratory in smart and sustainable cities of NOVA IMS, the project places several sensors, whose information is later shared through a wireless network of low consumption. The collection of soil and water samples is done by a group of students from the Professional School of Geographic Sciences.

Sensing Campolide also plans to encourage citizen science, as it is preparing – with the support of the parish council of Campolide and Liga para a Proteção da Natureza, an environmental NGO – to integrate about 40 students from Secondary School Marquesa de Alorna, in the neighbourhood, who will collect data during their journey home to school, and from classroom to playground.
