During the ceremony, which was attended by NOVA’s Rector, João Sàágua, and the President of the Institute’s Board of Directors, Vera Pires Coelho, the prizes for the best thesis of 2020 and the Early Career Research Awards were awarded, and the members of ITQB NOVA with 25 years at home were honoured.
Researchers, students and staff of ITQB NOVA gathered this Friday the 30th to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the integration of the Institute into NOVA University Lisbon.
The ceremony, attended by NOVA’s Rector João Sàágua and the President of the Institute’s Board of Directors Vera Pires Coelho, included the awarding of the Best Thesis 2020 and the Early Career Research Award (ECRA) 2022, as well as the honouring of ITQB NOVA members with 25 years of service.
During the day, the artist Miúdo painted the first mural of the Urban Art Route commemorating the 50th anniversary of NOVA, which will tour the different organisational units.
The event was followed by an Arraial, with food and drink, a cooking competition, a fair, a concert by the ITQB band and even a Zumba class.
