Inspired by the work “Casas Pardas” by Maria Velho da Costa, “A Terça Casa” is a shocking dinner. Everything here revolves around the feminine, from a personal story to the history of Portugal. You can smell the crisis, hear preludes to freedom and taste ideologies. From the kitchen to the dining room, everything is a desire to dominate others and oneself.
More than a family drama, it is a drama of language. Every voice, every gesture reflects the tension between old regimes and the effervescence of new ideals, showing that revolutions, like earthquakes, herald the imminent metamorphosis of the world. Transformation is inevitable and resistance is a way of acting.
