This is a thematic concert promoted by the Artistic School of Music of the National Conservatory to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the 25th of April Revolution.
In this performance, the General Choir of the National Conservatory joins forces with the Jazz Orchestra of the National Conservatory, in a collaboration between the ensemble classes and the jazz departments.
Based on works by José Afonso, José Mário Branco and Chico Buarque, the programme focuses on freedom and collective memory, paying homage to the values of April and highlighting the importance of artistic expression as a vehicle for citizenship and democratic participation.
