During the last semester, 37 students from seven academic units at NOVA University Lisbon worked together in ten multidisciplinary teams to develop entrepreneurial projects. Last Wednesday, the 4 th, they publicly presented their ideas to a jury comprising Ricardo Feferbaum (AngelsWay), Sofia Rolo (UNF), Cíntia Costa (+351) and Isabel Rocha, NOVA’s Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation.
The YOLK team, made up by Tancredi di Grande (Nova SBE), Ma Chue and Murshid Kazi (NOVA IMS) and Rita Martins de Sousa (NOVA School of Law), won the top prize and secured direct access to the Future Innovator Programme at Unicorn Factory Lisbon
Honourable Mentions were also awarded to the following projects:
- Match Play: Laura Borges Veiga (NOVA IMS), Gonçalo Simões (Nova SBE), Rafaela Neto de Jesus (NOVA FCT) and Farhan Arshad (NOVA IMS).
- Dear Journal: Jelle Koopman (Nova SBE), António Oliveira, Vitória Kushniruk (NOVA IMS) and Maria Luísa Beja (Nova SBE).
Recognised for its practical approach to stimulating entrepreneurial spirit among participants, supported by experts and coaches in the field, NOVA Starters Academy is NOVA University Lisbon’s longest-running entrepreneurship programme, having provided hundreds of students with the essential tools to create a start-up.
