As it prepares to welcome students for the Fall Semester of 2025 in September, the SUPERNOVA Foundation Program team announces that applications are now open for the February edition and will be accepted until 31 October.
SUPERNOVA is a unique programme in Portugal, designed to support international students in their transition to European higher education. It provides a solid academic and linguistic foundation, with courses taught in Portuguese and/or English by various NOVA University Lisbon schools. The programme can be completed in six months to a year.
Beyond academic preparation, SUPERNOVA opens doors to higher education: students who successfully complete the programme can apply to NOVA and its partner universities, including Ca’ Foscari (Venice), CY Cergy (Paris), Lancaster University (UK), the University of Algarve and NOVA’s new campus in Cairo.
The most recent edition (Spring Semester) had 87 students from 31 different countries, with participants from Iran, the USA, China, Russia and Angola particularly well represented – reflecting the programme’s diversity and global reach.
