Interdisciplinarity and innovation are primordial practices for the sustainability theme, which NOVA recognizes and assumes in its missions, in teaching and training, in research and development, and in the creation of value and impact in the community; as well as in its infrastructures and services.
The NOVA community (teachers, researchers, students and non-teaching staff) has already developed a wide range of activities related to sustainability in its organic units and research centres, with internationally recognized cases. NOVA has an enormous potential to increase its impact on the scientific, innovation, social and economic agendas for Sustainability.
The first edition of NOVA SUSTAINABILITY WEEK is exclusive to the NOVA community, and its ambition is to aggregate the several Schools showing what they have already developed and potentiating the crossing of inter and multidisciplinary opportunities, for example around the Sustainable Development Goals in which they already work. The participation of ALL is very important!
NOVA Sustainability Week will take place between 12 and 16 September, with face-to-face activities at Campus de Campolide on 13 and 14 September, and aims to act as a transformative opportunity for all who want to align their activity with the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
