Benjamin Britten’s Guide to the Orchestra for Young People is the most famous musical work to combine education and entertainment when it comes to the ‘functioning’ of an orchestra. But there are others. More recently, James Stephenson’s Compose Yourself! offers a different presentation of instrument families, more in tune with this century’s generations, for whom fun and interactivity almost always go hand in hand. So, younger audience members, get ready! Come and help to compose a new piece, and experience the excitement of a world premiere.
James Stephenson: Compose Yourself!
