The network 1/4 project is an initiative of the NOVA University Lisbon, born in the face of an important aspect of the housing crisis: the lack of affordable accommodation for university students, which affects equal access to education.
The aim is to improve the reception of university students by individuals or families who have rooms available in their homes and are interested in hosting students through an affordable income, opening up the possibility of support and accompaniment. The aim is also to encourage institutions and other owners with sufficient resources to provide rooms at affordable prices.
Backed by a wide network of partners and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, REDE 1/4 is an innovative programme based on a robust digital platform that will seek to connect those who have rooms available with those who need them to live and study.
