More than just a celebration, NOVA University Lisbon is preparing to write another chapter in its history of more than 50 years of dedication, achievements and vision for the future.

On Friday, the 21st, NOVA Day 2025 promises to be a remarkable event, bringing together excellence in teaching, pedagogical innovation, culture, and sport. A moment that reflects the diversity of our community and reaffirms NOVA as a global and civic university.

The ceremony will honour new PhD graduates, recognise pedagogical innovation implemented in the classroom during the last academic year and award sporting merit, all clear signs of NOVA’s commitment to training and valuing talent.

Among the protagonists will be Paulo Pires do Vale, Commissioner of the National Arts Plan and guest lecturer at NOVA FCSH, reinforcing the importance of culture as a strategic axis of the University, and Vasco Mendes, a student-athlete at NOVA FCT who has taken the name of NOVA to various national and international podiums.

In short, a moment to pay tribute to the people and ideas that build our legacy and project the University into the future.
