It brings together the GeraJazz Orchestra of the Orquestra Geração and guest artists from the world of African music in a vibrant celebration of the musical cultures of PALOP.
This show not only features a fusion of musical genres such as jazz and traditional African rhythms but also symbolises the transformative power of music in promoting social cohesion, inclusion and economic development.
The event is part of Rizoma, a socio-economic development project that aims to promote the music and performing arts sector as an enabler of the economy and formal and informal education for children and youth, as well as to rescue and disseminate the musical and performing culture of PALOP-TL in the countries of origin and in the diaspora as a means of promoting multiculturalism and social inclusion.
The concert is also supported by the Share Foundation for GeraJazz and the NOVA University of Lisbon and the Artistic School of Music of the National Conservatory.
