The webinar series on health systems and policies is back.
This time, the theme is “Health profession governance in a time of workforce shortages and technological change” and features Tracey Adams.
Tracey Adams is a sociologist and Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Her research focuses on the sociology of professions, with particular emphasis on three interconnected areas: the dynamic nature of professional work, the processes of professional regulation, and professional inequalities, especially in health-related contexts.
With a widely recognized academic career, Tracey Adams is the author of several books and articles published in prestigious international scientific journals, including Work, Employment & Society, Professions & Professionalism, Journal of Professions and Organization, and Social Science & Medicine, among many others.
Since 2023, she has chaired Research Committee 52 – Sociology of Professional Groups of the International Sociological Association, actively contributing to advancing research in this field.
