To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, NOVA FCT brought together five of its researchers to discuss the challenges, successes and prospects facing women in science and technology, and to encourage discussion between researchers, teachers and students.
Despite advances, challenges persist: only 29% of new engineering entrants in Europe are women, with even lower numbers in Portugal. The meeting aims to be a space for sharing and reflecting on these challenges, achievements and opportunities, and to promote dialogue between researchers, teachers and students.
