Pro-Rector for Heritage, Infrastructure, and University Campuses
Catarina Fortuna Campos was born in Braga in 1970 and completed her academic and scientific training in Architecture at the University of Coimbra in 2005. She began her teaching career in 2008 in the areas of architectural design, construction, and scenography, and currently teaches Design Studio III in the Integrated Master’s in Architecture at the Department of Architecture, University of Coimbra.
Alongside her academic role, she has developed a professional career focused on the rehabilitation and enhancement of built heritage, contributing to projects of high complexity and cultural significance, including the restoration of historic buildings and university infrastructure. Throughout her career, she has coordinated with public and private entities, local authorities, heritage oversight bodies, cultural associations, and academic partners, consistently integrating technical, scientific, and cultural dimensions into the strategic planning of facilities and infrastructure.
