João Dias

Pro-Rector for Administrative Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Communication

João Dias holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics, with undergraduate studies at ISEG (Lisbon School of Economics and Management) and a Master’s from the London School of Economics (LSE). He also holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology from ISPA (University Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences), and is certified in Executive Coaching by the University of Cambridge.

He served as President of the Agency for Administrative Modernization (AMA) and as Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Portugal. Prior to that, he was a board member of the Portuguese Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP) for six years. He has also held executive roles at EMEL – Lisbon’s Municipal Mobility and Parking Company – and at Prio Energy, a private fuel and gas retail company.

He served as Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister during the XVII and XVIII Constitutional Governments of Portugal. In parallel, he led the National Office for the Promotion of Electric Mobility in Portugal. He is also an executive educator at Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE).
