On 23 October, NOVA University Lisbon hosted a delegation from University of Seoul, led by its President, Yongkul Won, with the aim of deepening academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities and identifying new opportunities for collaboration. The meeting followed the umbrella agreement signed in April 2025, during NOVA’s institutional visit to University of Seoul.

The delegation was received by NOVA’s Rector, Paulo Pereira, the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Value Creation and Global Affairs, Isabel Rocha, and the Deputy Director for Internationalisation at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH), Madalena Meyer Resende. During the meeting, the university leaders signed a specific agreement that will enable student exchange between NOVA FCSH and University of Seoul, fostering academic mobility and promoting intercultural enrichment among students from both institutions.
On the same day, the South Korean delegation also visited NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS), where new possibilities for cooperation were explored in the fields of information management, data science and digital transformation, under the umbrella agreement.
This institutional visit reinforces NOVA’s commitment to consolidating strategic international partnerships, promoting academic excellence, innovation and the global impact of its teaching and research activities.
