NOVA and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation strengthen strategic partnership in global health

NOVA University Lisbon hosted a meeting with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) to strengthen international cooperation in critical areas such as public health and global health. Held at the Rectorate last 11th, the meeting was attended by Fiocruz President Mário Moreira, accompanied by Fernando Bozza, the researcher responsible for the Cooperation Agreement with NOVA and the Institute of Molecular Biology of Paraná (IBMP), as well as Camille Giaretta Sachetti, Advisor to the President. 

The main objectives were to prepare for the renewal of the memorandum of understanding that unites the institutions in 2026 and to identify new opportunities for collaboration, with a special focus on the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP). 

Led by João Amaro de Matos, Vice-Rector for International Education and Development, the session included representatives from ENSP, Nova Medical School, and IHMT, highlighting the cross-cutting nature of this strategic partnership.
