NOVA highlights the role of European universities at YERUN’s 10^(th) anniversary conference

NOVA University Lisbon attended the conference marking the 10th anniversary of the Young European Research Universities Network (YERUN), held in Brussels on Thursday, 5th May. The university contributed with a presentation focused on the future of university collaboration in Europe.

João Amaro de Matos, Vice-Rector for Education and International Development, took part in the session entitled “Working Together for Impact: The Future of European University Collaboration”, where participants discussed the challenges and opportunities facing European university alliances. In his intervention, he highlighted the importance of student engagement, the need for institutional agility, and the long-term sustainability of these alliances.

Held under the motto “10 Years of YERUN: Looking Forward, Growing Together”, the event brought together university leaders, European Commission representatives, and experts in science and innovation.
