It is an international initiative aimed at empowering faculty members and promoting the inclusion of international students.
The meeting took place at the rectorate of NOVA University Lisbon on November 24 and 25, bringing together members of the consortium behind IDEAS (Inclusive Dialogical Education Approach for Instructors), which includes three universities from the EUTOPIA alliance: NOVA, Cergy, and Gothenburg.
The project seeks to equip faculty to better support international students and strengthen their sense of belonging within host institutions, while also providing tools to implement Ideas Club formats.
This model, integrated into the SUPERNOVA Foundation Programme – a programme that continues to establish itself as a gateway for international students both at NOVA and its partner institutions – addresses topics such as racism, colonialism, gender equality, and climate change.
Planned actions include a study based on questionnaires for faculty and international students, the drafting of a scientific paper, and the development of training modules for instructors.
