In collaboration with the Teaching Division of the Rectorate of NOVA University Lisbon, NOVA Medical School is organising specialised training for summer camp monitors. The training aims to ensure that all professionals leading groups of children and young people are adequately prepared and qualified to perform their duties responsibly, safely and creatively.
The training will take place from 30 May to 6 June in a hybrid format. Asynchronous modules will be available on NOVA’s e-learning platform, allowing each participant to organise their own learning pace. On the last day, there will be a face-to-face session at the NOVA Medical School facilities in Lisbon.
The training covers the legal framework for holiday camps, practical guidelines on payments and issuing receipts through the Finance Portal, and topics such as group dynamics, interpersonal relationships, intercultural communication, first aid and basic life support.
Successful completion of the training and passing the final assessment will result in the award of a certificate attesting to the acquisition of essential skills for the effective and safe performance of the monitor role.
Registration is open until 26 May.
