NOVA kicks off pilot Inclusive Leadership training

23 de May, 2025

This week, NOVA University of Lisbon launched the Pilot Training in Inclusive Leadership with an inaugural session in the Senate Room of the Rectorate, last Wednesday 21.

Developed under the European project ULEAD4ALL, the training is aimed at those who aspire to lead — from students keen to make a difference, to current decision-makers within the NOVA community. Its goal? To foster more inclusive, representative leadership in academic and professional settings, through a mentorship-based approach.

The opening session was filled with moments of connection, sharing and reflection. Participants had the chance to meet, kick-start their mentoring relationships and delve into the key concepts that will guide the rest of the programme, running in a hybrid format until the end of June.

Given the strong interest in this pilot edition, NOVA’s Equality and Inclusion Office is already considering launching further editions. The ambition is clear: to engage more and more members of the university community in building a culture of leadership that is fairer, more diverse, and truly inclusive.
