Virgínia Baptista, researcher from Instituto de História Contemporânea of NOVA’s Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, was distinguished with the Prémio Maria Lamas 2016.
This is the second edition of this award attributed by Torres Novas City Council, that aims to distinguish the best studies related to women, gender and equality. Virgínia Baptista was distinguished for her research work “Proteção e direitos das mulheres trabalhadoras em Portugal (1880-1940)”.
The award cerimony will take place on 9th of July 2016, at 4 p.m, at Museu Municipal Carlos Reis (Torres Novas).
