Portugal’s rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be highlighted in the international media. This time, British newspaper The Telegraph highlights the fact that the rate of tests carried out in Portugal is more than double when compared to almost every other nation.
To explain this situation, The Telegraph spoke with several specialists from Portuguese institutions linked to the health area, including Inês Fronteira and Miguel Viveiros from the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IHMT NOVA), and Filipe Froes, from the Center for Research in Public Health of the NOVA National School of Public Health.
