This concert brings together around 150 young musicians aged 14 to 18, who have been living an intense personal and artistic experience at the Metropolitana during the week.
The EPM opened its doors to a large number of external students who, welcomed by the students of the house and their teachers, prepared a challenging and varied programme of works by Portuguese composers and some classics from the orchestral repertoire, under the direction of Maestro João Malha.
In the programme, the wind instruments are responsible for performing two suites. The first brings together several pieces of music by Schostakovich, composed for ballet, theatre and cinema. The second is inspired by Mark Twain’s most famous book, written in 2005 by Franco Cesarini.
But first, we have the opportunity to experience the resilience and triumph that pervades Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
Tickets for the NOVA community are valid for 2 people upon confirmation by email to relacoespublicas@metropolitana.pt by Friday 11 April at 18:00.
