This exhibition is the starting point for the cycle Freedom at NOVA, which will be celebrated with several concerts and shows until the end of the year.
The physical and digital documentary collection of José Mário Branco (JMB/1942-2019), composer, lyricist, performer, arranger and record producer, who has left his mark on the Portuguese musical landscape, will be presented.
In view of the collaboration he established with CESEM and INET-md between 2014 and 2019, the family decided to entrust this documentary collection to NOVA/FCSH, where it will be preserved, catalogued and studied, continuing the work of scanning and making it accessible initiated by the Jose Mario Branco Archive, published in 2018.
