With an unmissable programme, this 3rd edition reaffirms NOVA University Lisbon’s commitment to fostering debate and reflection on global challenges, in light of the UN’s 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The week will kick off on October 14th at NOVA’s Rectorate Auditorium on the Campolide campus, addressing broad and essential issues, such as the mechanisms that universities can and should use to promote the quality of democracy, reduce inequalities, and foster inclusion and human rights. The afternoon session will host the 1st NOVA Route Zero Conference, as part of NOVA’s Roadmap for Climate Neutrality and Resilience project. Supported by the Environmental Fund, NOVA is committed to putting climate action on the agenda of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Portugal. This 1st Conference will focus on HEI financing for climate action, inviting leaders from other universities to participate.
The entire NOVA community, partners, and other Higher Education Institutions across the country are invited to participate – either in person or remotely, on NOVA’s YouTube channel.
Check out the programme to learn more about the sessions we have prepared for you, and register now.
Throughout the week, from October 15th to 18th, the Sustainability Days will take place across NOVA’s various campuses, featuring sessions dedicated to the NOVA Route Zero project and other sustainability initiatives from the schools. These events aim to engage the communities at each of NOVA’s academic units, encouraging participation and involvement from everyone.
