You can still apply for the 2023 edition of the competition that rewards the best practices in the classroom at NOVA University Lisbon. Click here to find out how.
The prize was announced by the Rector of NOVA, João Sàágua, on the first Quality Day in 2021. Inspired by the University’s mission to promote quality teaching – in all study cycles, by excellent academics who are able to provide their students with a transformative and intellectually challenging educational experience – the competition is now in its 2nd edition.
The deadline for applications for the award runs until the 14th of July and is open to teachers and career researchers at NOVA University Lisbon – see Rules.
The criteria for awarding the prize focus, among other things, on the relevance and originality of the practices implemented (compared to conventional approaches) and also on the excellence of the teacher, as well as the impact and scope of these good pedagogical practices.
The prize consists of a Pedagogical Innovation Grant worth €4,000 and up to five honourable mentions worth €1,500 each.
The results will be announced at the next Quality Day, on a date to be announced. This will also be the occasion to present the prizes of the 1st edition, won by Isabel Catarino, professor at FCT NOVA – Know more about the winning project of the first edition.
