NOVA at the European Researchers' Night 2018 - September 28

Noite Europeia dos Investigadores 2018
28 September 2018
Local:
Eixo Rato/Príncipe Real

The European Researchers' Night is back on the 28 of September. Throughout the country there will be workshops, talks, demonstrations, shows and many experiences to discover science and think about the future. NOVA participates in this initiative once again in Lisbon, between 6 pm and midnight, with activities promoted by some of its schools that take place in several locations on the Rato / Príncipe Real axis.

For the 2018-2019 biennium, the European Researchers' Night's theme is "Science in the City", with the aim of bringing researchers and society together and responding to the main concerns of urban communities, highlighting the relevance of science to ensuring quality of life in cities and the preservation of cultural heritage as an essential factor for sustainability.

NOVA School of Science and Technology is once again part of the consortium coordinated by the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon, which also includes four other Portuguese higher education institutions and the Lisbon City Council. In addition to the participation of FCT NOVA, the program also has several activities promoted by NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA FCSH), NOVA Medical School | Faculdade de Ciências Médicas and NOVA Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Check out the complete schedule on the project's website.
