QS Top 50 under 50

NOVA has steadily risen in this ranking since the 2011-2012 edition and occupies a position well above the global average. The ranking shows the top universities under 50 years old based on the highest performing young institutions in the QS World University Rankings® 2015/2016, where NOVA was already in, leading, at a national level, in employers reputation.

CWTS Leiden

According to the Leiden Ranking 2018, which analyses the scientific performance of more than 1000 universities worldwide, NOVA is the Portuguese institution with the highest impact  in terms of published scientific articles on a global scale, with 11,8% of all scientific production in the TOP 10% of most cited publications.

NOVA leads at national level when it comes to the mean normalized citation score (MNCS), 17% above world average in terms of normalized citation per area, and is also the number one in terms of research collaboration.
