Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) was ranked the 50th best school in Executive Education in the world and the 26th best school in Europe, according to the Financial Times ranking released on May 14, which ranked Executive Education schools from all over the world throughout the year 2017.
Nova SBE achieved the 57th place for the best open programs and the 62nd place for the best-customized programs. About the results, Nova SBE's Executive Education CEO, Luís Rodrigues, mentioned: «Rankings are an evaluation element that is part of the process we do with executives and companies as we work together on their development and growth path. The on-going presence of Nova SBE reinforces our progress and our brand next to our global peers and, essentially, it allows us to further stimulate our market, in which the needs of education and development are very significant. Companies and Portuguese executives have to be alert to the critical need of having to invest in their development and growth so that they can thrive to their fullest potential».
Nova SBE's Executive Education has also recently joined international network UNICON. This global consortium of business schools, whose offer in Executive Education is an international reference, promotes conferences, research, benchmarking studies, share of good practices, staff development and an extense networking system. Nova SBE is one of the only two portuguese schools integrating this network, joining institutions such as Harvard, IMD, INSEAD or Wharton – development that reinforces the ambition and excellency of the school.
Luís Rodrigues, who will be the main representative from Nova SBE at UNICON, underlined that «Being accepted by UNICON is an acknowledgment of Nova SBE’s best work and the quality it has been bolstering. Additionally, being among the very best allows us to learn from them, establish partnerships and access knowledge that we intend to provide our companies and boards in Portugal to their benefit».
