Vanessa Aleixo, NOVA’s Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia former student, received an honorable mention of the "Prémio Jovens Geotécnicos em Língua Portuguesa" by Sociedade Portuguesa de Geotecnia (SPG) for her research work "Rotura de fundo de escavações devida a percolação ascendente", developed during the Civil Engineering Master Degree.
The "Prémio Jovens Geotécnicos em Língua Portuguesa" aims to distinguished research works that contribute to the technical and scientific progress on geotechnics.
The award ceremony took place on 22th of June 2016, at the closing session of the 15th National Congress of Geotechnics and of the 8th Portuguese and Brazilian Geotechnical Conference.
