NOVA big in Japan 

"A great meeting with an ambassador of great vision. The first of many, I'm sure. NOVA and the Portuguese Embassy in Tokyo to promote education, science, and international cooperation", said the Rector of NOVA University of Lisbon, João Sáàgua, commenting on the meeting with the Portuguese Representative in Japan, which was also attended by the Vice-Rectors Isabel Rocha, João Amaro de Matos, and Pedro Saraiva.

In addition to the meeting with the Portuguese Ambassador, Vitor Sereno, there was also a visit to the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies - TUFS, with which NOVA has a joint programme - an Erasmus Mundus Master's Degree.

This trip to Japan also reciprocated the visit of a delegation from the University of Osaka to the NOVA University Lisbon at the end of last summer,  to exchange and cooperation between the two institutions.

In Kyoto, the NOVA delegation was received by the Vice Rector and other representatives of the Kyoto University Graduate School of Management.

There was also a courtesy visit from NOVA University Lisbon NUCB Business School in Nagoya. Topics discussed included digital transformation, barriers to exchange, and the potential for research collaboration.
