NOVA ranks 53rd place worldwide in its commitment towards Sustainable Development Goals

NOVA University Lisbon ranks 53^rd worldwide in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021, reflecting its commitment towards a sustainable practice and research across all areas of knowledge. 

NOVA ranks second in Portugal, and as a young European university NOVA ranks 6^th.

NOVA stands out in the following positions among young European universities in these SDGs:

• 2^nd in SDG 5 (Gender Equality)
• 5^th in SDG 3 (Health and Well-Being)
• 5^th in SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals)
• 5^th in SDG 9 (Industry and Innovation)
• 8^th in SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions)
