Understanding health and disease, as well as having impact in Healthcare, increasingly requires the co-operation and convergence of all health-related sciences, from basic biochemistry to Global Health, as has been recently demonstrated by the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The book From Life Molecules to Global Health brings together the scientific contributions of NOVA researchers whose research intercepts health, from the understanding of biomolecules, which are the building stones of life, to the health of populations, aiming to have a holistic view of the subject. The content expresses NOVA University's relevant contributions to health, on a national and global scale, and was produced with the support of the Amélia de Mello Foundation, as part of the celebrations of Alfredo da Silva's 150th birthday.
