Sérgio Rosendo is Senior Researcher and Research Group Coordinator at the Centre for Geography and Regional Planning (e-GEO) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSCH-UNL). He is also a visiting fellow at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in the UK. Dr Rosendo is an environmental social scientist specialising in environmental change and development, adaptation to climate change in coastal zones and the social dimensions of marine conservation. He has worked in a number of international research projects and has extensive fieldwork experience in coastal East Africa. He has published collaboratively in several international peer reviewed journals such as Marine Policy, Ocean & Coastal Management, Environmental Science & Policy and Geographical Journal. He also acts regularly as a reviewer for several international journals and was an evaluator for the EU Marie Curie Fellowships. He holds a PhD in Development Studies from UEA (2003).
