The next webinar of the ADN project - Acting differently at NOVA will be dedicated to one of the winners of the first edition of the ADN Awards - The Implementation of Open School Model at the University.

The speakers will be Professors Carolina Santos (ENSP-NOVA) and Vitor Santos (NOVA-IMS).
Research in education has shown the benefits of implementing a collaborative open school model, which includes teaching-learning activities with a multiplicity of actors inside and outside the academy, in formal and semi-formal education spaces, particularly relevant in the context of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning. This approach is based on the construction of education hubs, in which the university and its schools, in collaboration with other stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, research centres, companies, NGOs), engage in project-based learning methodology, which brings real problems, needs and challenges of society into the classroom.
During this session it will be demonstrated how collaboration between teachers, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, STEM professionals, university partners, brings benefits to all parties involved, and is an important asset of quality education, which fosters innovation and creativity of students in the development of proposals and solutions.
