NOVA University Lisbon will award the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to His Royal Highness the Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, on 12 May, at 4 p.m. The ceremony will be presided over by the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa
The Vice-Rector of NOVA, Professor João Amaro de Matos will be the Patron and the laudation will be delivered by Professor Ana Santos Pinto, Associate Dean at NOVA FCSH.
The event will take place at the Rectorate of NOVA with live streaming on NOVA's YouTube.
"For NOVA University Lisbon, it is an honour to distinguish the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. This distinction aims at recognizing the good excellent bilateral relations between Portugal and Luxembourg. But it is also an acknowledgment of how the country has received and integrated the more than 90 thousand Portuguese who live in Luxembourg, being the largest foreign community, and of which dozens of former students of NOVA are part", explains João Sàágua, Rector of NOVA University Lisbon.
