Launched this Monday 11th March, the competition will count on the financing of four scholarships by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, in Portuguese), within the framework of the protocol of cooperation of the EUTOPIA European University Alliance, signed between NOVA and FCT.
Candidates have until 26 April (23:59 GMT) to send by e-mail to eutopia.phd@unl.pt all the documents required in the call for applications (English version from page 17 onwards).
The research activities to be selected must promote the creation of synergies and also the sharing of research environments between the EUTOPIA Alliance entities involved.
The work plan must be partly carried out at NOVA, with the award of a mixed fellowship, normally for one year, renewable for a maximum of four years. The period of the work plan that takes place in one of the foreign institutions cannot be less than 12 months or more than 24 months, consecutive or intermittent.
This research scholarship programme for obtaining a doctoral degree at NOVA University Lisbon financially supports high-quality doctoral projects in all fields, co-supervised by academics from partner universities of the EUTOPIA Alliance - as long as they consider NOVA as the main institution, in co-tutorship regime with one of the following institutions that are part of the Alliance Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) CY Cergy Paris Université (CY) University of Warwick (UW) Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) Università Ca' Foscari Venezia (UNIVE).
