Known as NOVA Cultura, the programme began to be designed in 2022, following the creation of the first Vice Rectorate for Culture at NOVA University Lisbon and was launched this year for the university's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Now online, NOVA Cultura has very clear objectives:
1) Publish, map, and articulate, on a single platform, the cultural and extension initiatives of the NOVA community and the intersections and dialogues between the University and the artistic and cultural sector.
2) Promote the cultural participation of the University community in the cultural life of the city through mechanisms that encourage and strengthen access to culture.
3) to open Nova's spaces to the city through a cultural programme based on the articulation between knowledge produced at the university and artistic practice within and outside NOVA.
Thus, at its dedicated website, it is possible to find information on the cultural initiatives promoted by the Rectorate and the different Nova Schools, on research and extension projects with a cultural dimension in all the organic units, on the cultural activities of the student community, and points of cultural interest in our material and intangible heritage.
