In the next academic year NOVA will be open to face-to-face activities, both in teaching and research as well as with regards to collaboration with social institutions and companies. It will do so with all the necessary health security. To this end, it has been implementing, since the end of May, the “NOVA: COVID-OUT” program, which will lead to the certification of its campuses by a national reference and internationally accredited entity.
Having this in mind, the Rector of NOVA, João Sàágua, met yesterday with the Deans of NOVA Schools, and with the respective Presidents of the Pedagogical Councils, to prepare for the start of the academic year 2020-21. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector José Fragata, responsible for the area of Health at NOVA.
NOVA, which has never stopped in times of emergency, has been opening the necessary face-to-face activities as much as possible, compromising the safety of members of its community to a minimum. In the next year, face-to-face activity will resume as a normal and predominant mode, with scrupulous compliance with health standards, as established by public health authorities and subsequently adapted by the Rectorate, Social Welfare Services and Schools to their specific situations.
