Throughout the 2022/2023 academic year, 70 male and female students achieved excellent sporting results and represented the University in a national and international context.
The event was attended by the Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, João Sàágua, the Administrator of NOVA Social Welfare Services (SASNOVA), Paula Machado, and several representatives of the Organic Units.
Francisca Azevedo, a former student of the NOVA Medical School and the University's most decorated student to date, was invited to speak at the ceremony, which welcomed award winners from different Organic Units and sports, including Taekwondo, Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Badminton and Karate.
There was also room for a special thank you to the SASNOVA Physical Activity and Sports Office for their work with the student-athletes.
