NOVA participates in the Superior Council of the Network for Environmental Studies of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (REALP) in Cape Verde

NOVA was represented on the Superior Council of the Network for Environmental Studies of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (REALP) by the Pro-Rector for Sustainability, Professor Júlia Seixas, at the XXII Network Meeting that took place between November 29 and December 2, 2021 at University of Cape Verde. At the event, which was attended by the Rectors of the Portuguese Language Universities and representatives of various institutions, research works in the fields of sustainability and environmental sciences were presented.

 REALP was created in 1997 with the aim of scientific cooperation in the area of ​​environment and sustainability and has 18 higher education institutions in Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique and Timor Lorosae. It has several joint projects, including the launch and teaching of the PhD program in Environmental Management and Policies (DGPA) at the University of Cape Verde, and is preparing the launch of the DGPA in Angola, by the University Agostinho Neto and in Mozambique by the University Eduardo Mondelane. Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program, it has accredited a consortium for mobility in Higher Education, AMIGO – Ambiente e Gestão, constituted by the Portuguese institutions of REALP, which supports the mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, among the Portuguese-speaking countries that are part of REALP and partner institutions in the United States of America, Chile, Argentina, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Palestine, Israel, Albania and Montenegro.
