A delegation from the City University of Macao was received at NOVA this Thursday 29th with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two institutions at various levels: exchange of students and professors, joint scientific projects and collaboration in the field of research.
The representatives of this university - Rector Jun Liu and Professors José Alves, Director of the Faculty of Business; Lixian Jin, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Xi Li, Executive Associate Dean of Faculty of International Tourism and Management; Daryl Yang, Director of the Office of Global Affairs and also Celeste Von of the Faculty of Business.- were present, on the side of NOVA, the Vice Rector Pedro Saraiva, as well as the Director of Nova SBE, Pedro Oliveira, Manuela Aparício, Assistant Director of Education at NOVA IMS; Alexandra Fiéis at Nova FCSH.
In 2017, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa signed a Memorandum of Understanding with CityU Macau. Still, it is no longer in force, and today's visit is an excellent opportunity to renew the collaboration and evaluate this possibility with the various NOVA schools and institutes.
Founded in 1981, CityU Macau offers programmes to more than 8,500 students in nine faculties: Faculty of Business, Faculty of Data Science, Faculty of Finance, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Innovation and Design, Faculty of Tourism and International Management, School of Education, Faculty of Law and Research Institute in Portuguese Speaking Countries.
