"Mulheres na Ciência" (Women in Science) is an exhibition that gathers over one hundred portraits of Portuguese researchers , by photographers António Pedro Ferreira, Clara Azevedo, Daniel Rocha, José Carlos Nascimento and Luísa Ferreira, following an invitation from Ciência Viva.
The exhibition represents a hommage to women scientists, that, in Portugal, represent 46% of the total number of researchers and whose contribution has been fundamental to the progress of Science and Technology in Portugal and its international reputation.
A book regarding this exhibition will be launched on the 8th of March 2016, International Women's Day, at the Pavillion of Knowledge Ciência Viva. A digital module will also be inaugurated with all the portraits, and a brief testimonial of each researcher.
