Celebrating its 50th anniversary, NOVA University Lisbon is awarding Gilberto Gil the title of Doctor Honoris Causa for his invaluable contribution to culture and citizenship.
In the days leading up to and following the ceremony scheduled for October 31, the cycle Brasil na NOVA - in homage to Gilberto Gil presents a series of concerts and initiatives designed to echo Gil's work and reflect on it and its reverberations from the University as a space for questioning.
On November 3rd, at 9:30 p.m., musician, professor and composer José Miguel Wisnik will present a lecture-show entitled "A Terceira Margem do Rio - poesia e canção brasileira", a commented concert (voice and piano) on the literary imbrications of Brazilian popular song.
Admissions are free.
