The show, which was created at the invitation of Teatro LU.CA, comes to NOVA as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations on 25 April.

MAIS ALTO! is a commented concert that invites young people and students to reflect on the power of music in political and social change. Through the choice of a varied repertoire, including songs of Portuguese, Brazilian and other origins, the show intersperses the songs with short commentaries that seek to frame the chosen themes, explaining the context in which they were created or the concerns they address. In this way, the questions are answered: Can music change the world? Does the world change music?
With musicians Afonso Cabral, Francisca Cortesão, Inês Sousa, Sérgio Nascimento and commentaries by Isabel Minhós Martins, the show is the result of an invitation from Teatro LU.CA in Lisbon in 2021.
It now arrives at NOVA, integrating the celebrations of 25 April at NOVA and inviting the entire community to reflect on the relationship between music, freedom and change.
