António Hespanha (1945-2019) was professor and researcher at the NOVA School of Law between 1998 and 2011. He was present almost from the beginning, and his contribution to the creation of the identity of the School, where he leaves his mark, is invaluable. He trained several generations of NOVA law students but his importance goes far beyond the walls of his school.
The wake will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 3, at the Basílica da Estrela. There will be a mass at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, followed by a funeral procession at 2:30 p.m. towards the Alto de S. João cemetery in Lisbon. The cremation will be at 3:30 p.m.
